Duane Brown’s continued holdout at the Texans’ training camp has led to the team looking back at the free agent market to find more help at offensive tackle. According to Jeff Risdon of USA Today:
Offensive tackle Austin Howard visiting Texans https://t.co/yHno7OiMXc via @thetexanswire Giacomoni replaced him for NYJ back in the day

Howard started 10 games for the Raiders last year as relief for starting right tackle Menelik Watson. Howard has started 72 games over his seven seasons in the league for three different teams. Our own Matt Weston talked about Howard last season while looking into the Raiders’ monstrous offensive line.
Howard’s addition could help solidify a group of tackles who have a lot of issues around them, such as inexperience, injuries, and lack of form. Do you think Austin Howard has a chance of sticking around with the Texans for this season? Sound off in the comments below.
