The Houston Texans locked up safety Andre Hal with a three-year extension earlier today. But the team wasn’t finished extending 2014 draft picks.
Texans signed FB Jay Prosch to a 3-year, $5.75 million extension, including $2.7M gtd, per source.

Prosch is a rather one-dimensional player in the Texans’ offense. He only has 10 career carries and two career receptions, but Bill O’Brien and his staff clearly love his physicality and effort as a lead blocker for Lamar Miller, Alfred Blue, and now D’Onta Foreman. Though I suppose if you play fullback in a run-heavy offense, you kind of have to be a physical, hard-nosed blocker...right?
Congratulations to Prosch for getting paid. He’s earned it.
