NFL Week Two Live: Late Afternoon Games

New, comments

There’s another four games to be played, and we’re still here.

Dolphins at Chargers

The fighting fish begin their season in LA facing the newly-moved Chargers after last week’s game against the Buccaneers fell by the wayside due to Irma. This game should be a toss-up. Both teams are strong.

Jets at Raiders

The Jets are one of the most hapless teams in the NFL, having continued their travails to find a starting quarterback and settling for Josh McCown. They’ll be facing the Raiders, who finally found their answer in Derek Carr (and Khalil Mack and Amari Cooper). It’s hard to see this as anything other than a victory by the men in black, but stranger things have happened.

Cowboys at Broncos

The Cowboys dominated the Giants last week, while the Broncos barely won over the Chargers. At this point, it’s hard to see this as a loss for the visiting team, simply because Dak Prescott is better as his job than Trevor Siemian is at his. Ezekiel Elliott, Jason Witten and Dez Bryant for the ‘Boys and Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders for the Broncos should make this an offensive explosion.

Washington at Rams

Kirk Cousins has been embroiled in contract discussions with the front office for several seasons now, demanding he be paid according to what he thinks he’s worth. Todd Gurley and Sammy Watkins should help Jared Goff as he continues to develop as a NFL quarterback.

These are the four games the NFL has to offer for us this afternoon. Which one will you be watching? What do you think about them?
