Let There Be Light

The Texans headed to Foxborough, again. To face the Patriots, again. And many sports commentators made many of the same Texans put downs, again. Texans fans hoped for the best and braced for the worst, again.

And then...

The Texans played an outstanding game. Against the Patriots. The NFL Champions. And Tom Brady. And yesterday, Texans fans everywhere rejoiced. Yes, we lost in a heart breaking manner. Less than a minute left and Brady, well, was Brady, and led his team down the field, using the only advantage that the Patriots had against the Texans throughout the game yesterday, and that was against a weakened Texans secondary. And the Patriots won. That said, as a die hard Texans fan. I choose to look at the countless positives we saw in yesterday's performance. Deshawn Watson is getting better with every single game. Our offensive line did their best, but it certainly takes some pressure off of the front line when you have a fast, scrambling, throwing even when he's going to the ground, finding the open receiver quarterback. I am so looking forward to what this young man does each game for the rest of the season.

He managed to find multiple receivers and often turned something that could have ended horribly, like a sack for loss of huge yards, into a scramble find Griffen and 30+ yards later...football greatness. Getting some of our Tight Ends back helped our cause quite a bit

JJ, Clooney, Mercilus, and company all did their respective jobs and clogged up the Patriots running game like no other team can. Brady was on the ground an awful lot yesterday. So thank you to our defensive line for keeping him pressured and miserable throughout the game

Yes, as fans, we can pin point the potentially game changing errors. O'Brien kicking a field goal on 4th and 1. The lack of a time out with 10 seconds left. That 'could have been' interception on the Patriots one yard line. There were so many little things that could have one the game for our Texans. But I say...Let There be Light...if our team plays like this for the rest of the season. I am predicting that we will meet the Patriots in the play-offs and we will win and yesterday's game is the turning point that sports commentators and critics will in turn pin point as the turning point of this Texans team!!!
