THINGS OF NOTE:

  • The starting offensive line unit of Seantrel Henderson, Senio Kelemete, Nick Martin, Zach Fulton and Julie’n Davenport all played 19 snaps, likely pointing to that fivesome being the incumbent starters on the offensive line.
  • Jordan Akins played 10 offensive snaps and scored on two of them. He’s scored on 20% of his preseason snaps. That’s a very high success rate.
  • It looks as if Dee Virgin’s biggest competition for the final roster spot may be Andre Chachere. The defensive back from San Jose State played 41 defensive snaps to Virgin’s 43.
  • The Texans’ recent draft picks did not get a lot of run last night. With Martinas Rankin, Keke Coutee and Jermaine Kelly out, only five draftees saw the field. Among those five, Duke Ejiofor saw the most action in just 39% of the defensive snaps.
