Usually in a regular season contest, this would be the time where we update everyone on the week’s inactives. However, in the preseason, there is no such thing.
Still, not all 90 Texans on the roster will suit up tonight.
According to Aaron Wilson, both J.J. Watt and Jadeveon Clowney are no-gos.

Whitney Mercilus will also not play, but we knew that already.
However, Deshaun Watson, coming off of a torn ACL, will see action tonight.

Expect the main starters to play one drive and then get bubble-wrapped. Their snap count may increase as the preseason rolls along, but given the team’s injury history last year, I assume Bill O’Brien is going to play it conservatively with his vets and give the run to the rookies and fringe guys.
