DeAndre Hopkins had a stellar season, setting a career high in TD receptions, which led the NFL, and came in fourth in receiving with 1,378 yards. He’s already been named to the Associated Press All Pro Team, and this afternoon he was bestowed with another by the Pro Football Writers Association:
Here are the 2017 PFWA All-AFC and All-NFC selections. The @steelers led all AFC teams with six conference selections. The @Eagles and @RamsNFL led all NFC clubs with six conference selections each: pic.twitter.com/o2HP4P87bQ— Pro Football Writers (@PFWAwriters) January 15, 2018
So another accolade for Hopkins and an All-AFC team nod for Texans defensive end Jadeveon Clowney who is coming off another monster season, recording 21 tackles for a loss, good for second in the NFL behind the Cardinals’ Chandler Jones. Clowney also set a career-high in sacks with 9.5, which led the entire Houston defense.
What do you make of this news? Do you think other Texans should have made the team? Do you think Hopkins should have a higher reward bestowed on him in order to accurately portray his greatness?
