The conference championship games pop off at 2:05 p.m. CST. First the Jaguars will play the Patriots and hopefully will be wearing the dog mask after the game. Afterwards, the Vikings will be going outside to Philadelphia to face the Eagles.
Currently, I am staying up late and hydrating while typing up conference championshpi game previews sifting through the bottom of the coffee cup, looking for a sign to make my prediction. Those previews should be sent out into the world like a swan from a Mary Oliver poem this weekend. So, no, as of right now I don’t have a concrete opinion on either game. I know where I’m leaning, but I haven’t fallen over and I can still get back up.
The only prediction I have right now is that Chris Hogan will be the leading receiver this weekend. The Jaguars are great in coverage on the outside. Tashaun Gipson may not play; even if he does, he and Barry Church have struggled at covering deep middle passes. The Jags have given up the eighth-most receptions to this section of the field. The Seattle game, and the Martavis Bryant catch from last week, is still plaque in my brain. The Pats are great at attacking their opponent’s weakness. We haven’t heard much from Hogan this year because of injury, and Hogan going off just seems like the most Patriots thing to happen.
That’s my BIG prediction. What do you got? Who do you have winning on Sunday? Who do you want to win on Sunday? Is there just anything you have rumbling in your gut? Call me now for your free tarot reading?
