Houston Texans Injury News: Deshaun Watson “Sure” To Play Against Buffalo Bills

The franchise quarterback says he will be out there this Sunday against the Bills.

I wasn’t there. I didn’t talk to Deshaun Watson today. I’m not a nerd who holds an iPhone up to athletes’ faces and begs for scoops. But there are those who do, and we appreciate their work. Because of their efforts, we learned that Watson, despite sustaining a chest injury in the Sunday Night Football win over the Cowboys, will “for sure” play this Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.

LOL.

There were questions regarding DW4’s availability. Watson was deemed day-to-day this week, and he has been limited in practice. This is coming off a game where he was sacked only once, but took three vicious, mosh pit, you shall not pass hits at the goal line. Hits so brutal that even the sideline doctor brought the stethoscope out to inspect Watson. I had never seen it before.

No worries. Watson will play, and Houston needs him as they try to continue their slow ascent to .500 after losing their first three games of the season. Hopefully, there are no stethoscopes around on Sunday.

In other Texans news, Jadeveon Clowney was sick and didn’t practice today. Lamar Miller will also return to action on Sunday after being an active sideline lingerer who did not get on the field in last week’s game.

Other than that, things look pretty much set for Sunday, Sunday, Sunday.
