Countdown To Sunday Night Football: Texans vs. Cowboys

The battle for the Governor’s Cup kicks off in a few hours and we’re here until the action begins.

NFL: Dallas Cowboys at Houston Texans
Tonight’s the night!
Troy Taormina-USA TODAY Sports

The Dallas Cowboys have traveled down I-45 to take on the Houston Texans at NRG Stadium in a game broadcast on national television, under the lights. Typically, under OB’s tenure, the Texans have collectively sh!t the bed when on the national stage, and the Texans haven’t looked like a team that’s going to challenge the AFC leaders so far this season, but the Cowboys’ offense has struggled outside of Ezekiel Elliott, and they’ve lost starting center Travis Frederick until December at the earliest.

On paper, the Texans look like they should be able to claim their second victory in this rivalry, should OB get out of his own way and RAC’s defense play like we all know they’re capable of. But the games are played in real life, and we like to wilt under pressure, so who knows what will happen?

This is where we’re counting down the time until the game starts. The first quarter thread will open at 7:15PM CT. Until then, chat here about what you hope to see, expect to see, fear to see, etc.
