Countdown To Kickoff: Texans vs. Jets

Houston tries to get back to their winning ways against the Jets this afternoon.

Today at 3:30 p.m. CST, the Texans will play some Saturday football against the Jets to fill that collegiate-sized hole in your heart.

Last week Houston played a team that could throw the football, and they lost. Today they play a team that can’t throw the football, has to run the football, and even isn’t very good at doing it. Today should be like Houston versus Jacksonville, or Houston versus Tennessee (Pt. II), or Houston versus Buffalo.

Hopefully it isn’t, though. Maybe Bill O’Brien will take the top off the Texans’ offense and try to attack the Jets deep after picking up their big blitzes. Or he won’t, and Houston will run the ball a lot until the offense clicks over enough attempts.
