Houston Texans News: The Texans Fire Some More People

The house is still getting cleaned.

Yesterday, the Texans ended the work week by pulling multiple employees into the boss’s office while they were wishing everyone a happy weekend. Assistant Director of Pro Personnel Larry Wright, Senior Director of Player Engagement Sean Washington, Director of Sports Science Erik Korem, and Pro Scout Tolu Lasak were all informed their services were no longer needed at NRG Park.

It’s strange for these firings to occur at this point in the offseason, so something must have been afoot with strength and conditioning programs getting started soon, and scouting for free agency and the 2018 NFL Draft already getting underway.

I don’t know anything about these former Texans employees, so let’s have Aaron Wilson take it away:

Wright began his tenure with the Texans as a pro scout following a stint as the Jacksonville Jaguars’ assistant director of pro personnel.

Korem was previously with the University of Kentucky and Florida State and was hired by the Texans two years ago.

Lasaki worked for the Baltimore Ravens’ personnel department before joining the Texans.
