This past week has seen the Texans release long-time ILB Brian Cushing, receive 3 compensatory draft picks, and prepare themselves for the NFL Combine.
This week has also seen the US compete at the PyeongChang Winter Olympics, winning the first ever US gold medal in curling, the NCAA become further embroiled in a scandal surrounding a failure to pay athletes for their services, and Geno Smith and Kyrie Irving have both embarrassed themselves and their science teachers by espousing their flat earth beliefs.
Black Panther is still going strong at the box office, while Game Night, Jumanji and the final (thankfully) film in the Fifty Shades franchise are also attracting attendees. But that’s pop culture. What’s going on in your neck of the woods? Anything we should be keeping tabs on? Have you decide to run the 40-yard dash in your own version of Run, Rich, Run? Are you doing the “Average Guy/Gal NFL Combine” in someone’s garage? We need to know these things, y’all (and see embarrassing videos, of course).
This is your Saturday Night Open Thread, where any and everything (within site rules, of course) is open for discussion. Just, please, remember not to be b@stards to one another, mmm’kay?
