Yesterday, the NFL’s Annual League Meetings went down. The coaches, general managers, and owners all got together to have breakfast, vote on proposed rule changes, and say some things to the local media out in Orlando. Look at these important men.

While in Orlando and fraternizing with his peers, looking like he’s prepared to coach a game right now, Bill O’Brien talked about his football team. Look at these tweets from Sarah Barshop. O’Brien talked about J.J. Watt, Deshaun Watson, Tyrann Mathieu, Julie’n Davenport, the Texans’ offensive line, the players’ right to protest, and D’Onta Foreman.
Bill O'Brien said J.J. Watt feels good about where he is in his rehab from a broken leg: “I would never bet against J.J. Watt. J.J. Watt is a generational player in this league and he’ll be back to full-strength."

Bill O'Brien said Deshaun Watson is still ahead of schedule as he rehabs his torn right ACL. https://t.co/VhjD4Xf8yR

Bill O'Brien said the Texans will start Tyrann Mathieu at safety and then move him from there: "His versatility is something that really appealed to us, so we’ll probably use him at other spots."

Bill O’Brien said the Texans are going to “probably have four new starters” on the offensive line. Nick Martin will start at center, which means Jeff Allen may not be back at right guard.

O’Brien also said Julién Davenport “may start off at left tackle.” Davenport was Houston’s fourth-round pick in 2017. The Texans started five left tackles last season.

In light of Bob McNair's comments on Sunday, Texans head coach Bill O'Brien said he's "always for" his players' right to express themselves. https://t.co/q3KaTkHDkf

Another injury update: O’Brien said running back D’Onta Foreman (torn Achilles) should be ready for training camp.

Cool. Good stuff. Fun stuff.
All there is to do is wait for players to get healthy, put those remaining cap dollars to use to extend Jadeveon Clowney, maneuver around the NFL Draft despite missing a first and second round pick, spin the clocks around a hundred times more, and poof...the Texans are playing football again.
