I hope you’re ready for some defense!
All those fancy offense playing boys have gone home and now it’s left to the hard fighting, dirt eating defensive players to show you how to run a REAL three-cone shuttle.
Heading up the defensive line group will be NC State’s Bradley Chubb and Boston College’s Harold Landry, who will both be jockeying for the homor of being the top defensive lineman. Whilst Chubb and Landry might represent outside rushers, the big star of the show will be the 350 lb. Washington DT Vita Vea, who will look to put up the kind of testing numbers that’ll make you terrified that humans his size can move at that speed.
For the linebackers, it’ll be all about the uber-athletic Roquan Smith from Georgia and Trumaine Edmunds from Virginia Tech. Both are a new breed of linebackers who can run in coverage and hunt running backs in the run game. In terms of a true old fashioned between the tackles thumper, it’s probably not a surprise that the top prospect comes from Alabama in the form of Rashaan Evans. Evans will look to add to the disgustingly long list of Crimson Tide linebackers taken in the first two rounds of the NFL Draft.
These are the names to watch for the day and this is the place to watch them. Enjoy!
