Nothing is happening in the NFL right now. There are tumbleweeds traveling across this old saloon. Teams have targeted who they wanted. They are sitting and waiting until after the 2018 NFL Draft to fill out the rest of their roster. Things are constipated. Nothing will get moving again in the free agent market until May.
During March and early April, the Texans did make a lot of moves. They signed Aaron Colvin, Tyrann Mathieu, Johnson Bademosi, Zach Fulton, Seantrell Henderson, Senio Kelemente, Brandon Weeden, and Joe Webb. They re-signed Shane Lechler, Johnathan Joseph, Bruce Ellington, Brian Peters, Corey Moore, and Ufomba Kamalu. They made a qualifying offer to restricted free agent Greg Mancz, and they released Brian Cushing.
What do you think about what the Texans have done in free agency? Do you wish they had spent more and snagged one of the big fish? Do you wish they had cut more players off the roster to create additional cap space? Are there any quieter signings that you wish they had made? Are there any weaknesses they didn’t strengthen enough?
Take out your red pen and make your voice heard.
