After the fun and games of the NFL Draft, the formalities of actually getting a contract done can often times be a bit of a nuisance, as the San Diego Chargers found out a few years ago with Joey Bosa.
The Texans, however, have been swift in getting a deal done for their first pick from the 2018 NFL Draft, with Stanford safety Justin Reid now signed to his rookie deal.

Per Wilson, Reid will get a $1.039 million signing bonus to go along with a total of $4.063 million in a four-year contract. Reid will come into the Texans ready to go into training camp, presumably looking to dethrone Andre Hal from the starting safety spot opposite Tyrann Mathieu heading into the 2018 season.
