Your Houston Texans have added another quarterback to their roster, and it’s a name that draftniks may recall from five years back.

Although his professional football career hasn’t exactly taken off, there was a time when Stephen Morris was viewed by some as a legitimate quarterback prospect coming out of the University of Miami. Indeed, our own beloved Brett Kollmann, during the exceptionally dark days that comprised the Texans’ 2013 season, once devoted an entire “Film Room” to Morris.
Morris went undrafted out of college and has since spent time with five NFL organizations before his arrival in Houston, mostly as a practice squad quarterback. Nevertheless, he now joints a Houston quarterback room populated by Deshaun Watson, Brandon Weeden, and Joe Webb. Perhaps the sixth city will be the charm as he looks to continue his NFL career.
UPDATE: Some roster shuffling in the wake of the Texans claiming Morris off waivers...
