Freelance writer DLineVids spotted a sight we’ve all been waiting for at a recent Houston Texans practice: Whitney Mercilus is back in action!
After enduring a season-ending pectoral muscle tear last year, an injury eerily similar to one Houston’s old sack master Mario Williams suffered before leaving the team after the 2011 season, its great to see Mercilus performing drills and showing off his wheels.

With Merc back on the field, and the back end solidified through the additions of Tyrann Mathieu, Aaron Colvin and Justin Reid, it’s time to start getting excited for the Houston Texans’ defense in 2018.
Now all we need is footage of Jadeveon Clowney, J.J. Watt and Whitney all converging on Tom Brady and life won’t just be good, it’ll be great!
How excited are you for Mercilus to get back on the field? What do you expect from the defense in 2018?
