Another one of the offseason checkmarks has just been hit. ESPN’s fantasy football rankings have been released. Once the fantasy football publications start popping out, training camp is right around the corner; in this case, the corner is the end of this month.
If you play on ESPN.com, these are probably the prefabricated rankings you’ll be scrolling through that will influence who goes when, where, and why. The link to this year’s iteration of ESPN’s PPR rankings is here. There are 200 names on the list; I didn’t write it, and I’m not going to copy and paste all of that.
Instead, what I’ll tell you is this: DeAndre Hopkins is ranked 6th, Will Fuller V is 71st, Lamar Miller is 76th, Deshaun Watson is 83rd (and no, he shouldn’t be the number one fantasy quarterback selected this year), D’Onta Foreman is 97th, and the Texans’ defense is 173rd. The rest of the skill players Houston has are not on the list.
This may be your jumping point for the rest of the summer’s fantasy football research. Now all we need is a copy of Football Outsiders’ 2018 Almanac and we got a real party going.
