The Houston Astros play an elimination game tonight against the Tampa Bay Rays. Houston will put Gerrit Cole, the best pitcher in MLB this year, on the mound to try to clinch the series and move forward to play the New York Yankees. The Astros should be feeling pretty good heading into the game knowing they can trust a pitcher who always comes up big when it’s needed.
When it comes to the postseason, the question of clutch always comes up. It’s important to know who you can trust in a big moment to make a play. Seeing the Astros prepare for a must-win game got me thinking about who on the Texans is counted on most to come up with a big play when the game needs to be sealed or turned around.
In the past, you could point to players like Andre Johnson, who had a beautiful TD catch over the Washington Redskins late in the fourth quarter back in 2010.

Who are the current Texans who have the ability and the nerves of steel needed to step up big when needed in today’s current version of the team? Who does BOB turn to when his team needs a spark?
