All those things I wanted back in August took until the end of September to come to fruition. The Jaguars running the ball vertically, the Buccaneers spreading the field wide and throwing it deep, the Panthers playing good football and putting their deep roster to use, and for Teddy Bridgewater to finally get a shot. These things are happening now. I got swept up in the moment, devoured by the first two games of a week to week game, where each one feels like it means so much, when it fact it sometimes really doesn’t. Teams change. Players change. Schemes change. Jacksonville, Tampa Bay, and Carolina have changed for the better. Bridgewater still needs to throw the ball downfield.
It’s Week 5 in the NFL. This week we discuss the litter box brawl between the Jaguars and Panthers, the eventual NFC South champion Buccaneers playing the Saints at home, the Cowboys trying to find their run game in Arlington against Green Bay, and a confusing Monday Night Football match-up between Cleveland and San Francisco.
