Last week, the New York Giants parted ways with safety Landon Collins. The Texans have a decision to make on their roster regarding their safeties. If there is a hole to fill, Landon Collins may be a good fit.
Last week, Mad Radio on Sports Radio 610 in Houston wrote to Collins thanks to cameo:
“Hi Landon, we’re bummed about the Texans safety situation. Please tell us how much you could help the Houston Texans and how you would help them.”
Landon Collins soon responded in a video recording to Mad Radio’s statement.
We - #MadRadio - paid $25 on the cameo app to FA safety Landon Collins & this message:

“I couldn’t tell you,” Collins said. “I don’t know. I like the Texans. They’ve got a good defense, good defensive team over there. I know what it would take for me to get over there. So, we’ll see how the market goes and how they handle things.”
This would depend on what ultimately happens with free agent safety Tyrann Mathieu. It has been reported that Mathieu’s agent and general manager Brian Gaine have discussed a contract extension. Mathieu has also garnered interest from other teams including the Baltimore Ravens and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Collins is a three-time Pro Bowler and was a First Team All-Pro back in 2016.
There has been no reported interest or discussions from the Texans front office but it sure is worth a shot if Collins would be on board.
The Texans are expected to retain Mathieu, but Collins is not a bad plan B.
