Deshaun Watson played at an extremely high level last year with little to no help within the offensive line
the defensive edge conSIStently crashed down on Deshaun and the interior would get whooped at the most inopportune times
Deshaun (statistically) took a step forward
Deshaun (mentally) took a step back
the NFL is a pocket-passer's league
if we look back at Conference Championship Sunday; 3 of the 4 starting QBs are pocket passers
you have to have to have to win from the pocket
it is merely a bonus when you can move around like say a Russell Wilson
but ultimately
Deshaun Watson's overall maturation will be in it's ascendance once his offensive line is in unequivocal unison
Seantrel Henderson is returning from injury; that is a boost
Zach Fulton is beyond solid
Nick Martin is certified
but Deshaun Watson's blindside must improve this offseason
Senio Kelemete is decent; but... injury prone and inconsistent
Julie'n Davenport simply needs to be replaced
if i were the Texans I would draft a Yodny Cajuste with the 23rd overall selection in the 2019 NFL Draft to become Deshaun's Franchise-LT for the next decade
i would then shift Martinas Rankin from Tackle to Guard in order to boost competition for the blindside Guard position
I am letting it be known right now...
what you all witnessed from Deshaun Watson last season was nothing
comparable to what he will do once his offensive line is fortified!
"side-note"
the Houston Texans should start D'Onta Foreman over Lamar Miller
that'll be a better 1-2-punch then the vice versa
