More offensive tackles.

The overlords, the torso we swing from here at Battle Red Blog, have put together a cool little tool. There are thousands of mock drafts going around this time of year. It’s like the flu come fall. Every site, every professional football writer, anyone who brings any sort of an opinion to the internet has a mock draft,. Hell, even those that live better and truer lives outdoors by candles and open windows probably have one scribbled in number two pencil into a ringed spiral (green, of course).

SB Nation has taken all these mock drafts and clumped them together to find the consensus pick for each team in the first round of the 2019 NFL Draft. This aggregation has the Houston Texans selecting, yep, you guessed it...

...offensive tackle Greg Little from Ole Miss. Andre Dillard is there. So is Cody Ford, but both will probably be off the table by the time the Texans pick. No matter what the consensus says, I’m pining hard for cornerback like a sinner for Purgatory or nothingness.

If you are tired of offensive tackles, Daniel Jeremiah with NFL.com posted his mock draft 2.0. He has the Texans selecting a tight end! The tight end is consensus best tight end of this class, T.J. Hockenson from Iowa. Here’s what Jeremiah has to say:

The Texans need to do a better job of protecting Deshaun Watson. Hockenson will help improve the run game and he’ll provide some easy completions for the QB.

I don’t know how we survived last year.
