Unfortunately, despite my obvious media presence and influence, I will be unable to attend the 2019 NFL Draft in Nashville. Other things are taking precedent. I am stuck watching the draft, and probably writing about the draft, here, instead of far and away. Yet my spirit will still in be in Nashville, even if this cell we call a skeleton will be here in Texas.
I have two reservations to the Logan’s Roadhouse in town, and dammit Susan, I will be throwing my peanuts on the ground no matter what you say. There I’ll be guffawing at the trades, typing angry emails and tweets when the Texans inevtiably select Cody Ford in the first round, and doing my best to try and understand something I know nothing about. Damn, I wish I was melting inside the Grand Canyon once again instead.
Anyways, those are my plans. What about you? What do you have going on? Will you be skipping out on the draft to watch the new superhero baby movie? Are you going to Tennessee to see the NFL’s zipper in person? Will you be watching all seven rounds and really understanding what Camus meant all those years ago? Or will you already be eating tape to get ready for the 2020 NFL Draft?
Whatever your plans, let us know in the Comments. If you’re still trying to figure out what you’re going to do, or if you’ll be a stranger in a strange land looking for somewhere to catch the game, pose any queries here; someone might have a suggestion for you. Similarly, if you’ve got a worthy spot staked out somewhere and want to clue fellow Texans fans in to it, please divulge that information in the Comments as well.
