I always assume the Patriots are filled with guys like Jack Easterby. Men who work in the shadows and find out the Chiefs are pulling their tackle when their index finger is tilted to the left or know the premium way to turn that UDFA from Minnesota Tech into a five sack player, only for another team to give him $7 million a year. That is transcendent meditation. The Patriots are surely currently busy trying to figure out the best way to manipulate the new pass interference challenge rules.
Since Bill O’Brien took over, the Texans have tried to be the Houston Patriots. It got them a lot of 9-7. They tried to take their franchise in a new direction by signing backup Buffalo Bills offensive linemen, but once again the Texans are back to their old ways.
The Texans have hired Jack Easterby to be The Executive Vice President of Team Development.

I have no idea what this means, what this job entails, or who Mr. Easterby is. If you want a place to start, read this. Or this.
Apparently Easterby is very important and influential.
