Earlier this week, the Texans announced their offseason dates for OTAs, minicamps, and offseason workouts. During these workouts, the player is no longer a person, just a number on the back of the helmet, and maybe if they are loved enough, a last name. The assigning of jersey numbers is an integral part to offseason practices. The new players get a bar code tattooed on the back of their neck and the existing players get theirs changed up a bit.
Today the team announced updated jersey numbers for the newcomers and for a few veterans who were here last year.
