The 2019 season is still three months away, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t already 2020 Mock drafts to write and publish and read, to terrorize the hearts of many with. I still haven’t fully recovered from all the mock draft posting earlier this year, but let’s go ahead and do this anyways. Here are two Houston Texans 2020 Mock Draft selections.
The first is from Todd McShay:
Houston Texans 17.) Walker Little, OT, Stanford*
Sure, the Texans added some linemen in the 2019 draft, but they still have room for improvement. Little started all 12 games at left tackle for the Cardinal and was an All-Pac-12 first-teamer.
The second is from Thor Nystrom at Rotoworld NFL:
18. Texans - Alabama CB Trevon Diggs
The Texans are probably going to be shopping for OL and CB help in next year’s draft as well.
Diggs is something of a mystery box. The brother of Vikings WR Stefan Diggs (and also Vikings camp body WR Mar’Sean Diggs, a UAB product) Trevon is a high-end elite who came to college as a ballyhooed high-four-star athlete. He hasn’t always dominated on the field, and his 2018 season was cut in half by injury.
To go in the first-round in the spring, he’ll need to stay healthy and consistent throughout the 2019 season.
You have to love the Texans already being projected to finish around the middle of the NFL, and for them to still be in the same spot as last season, needing to improve at offensive line and cornerback.
