None of these games count, but this is the most meaningful of the meaningless. Preseason game number three. As the cliche goes, this is the one where teams actually prepare for their opponent, put together a game plan, and work throughout the week like a real actual important game is on Sunday. The benefactor for Houston are the Dallas Cowboys.
For tonight’s game, I’ll be watching for Roderick Johnson at left tackle, if Zach Fulton continues to play well at center and Houston’s run game with him in that position, Max Scharping’s continued smooth transition to the guard position, Bradley Roby versus Amari Cooper, whichever Dallas running backs looks good for fantasy purposes, Houston’s passing offense, those B-tracks I’ve enjoyed watching this preseason, and I want to see if Martinas Rankin even exists.
The first quarter thread will post at 5:45 p.m. Until then, hang out here.
