I have urgent news to report. The Texans were stomped by the Cowboys Saturday night in the most important preaseason game, No. 3, by a score of 34-0. The Texans’ offensive line was was once again a problem. Lamar Miller took a hit to the leg and tore his ACL.

After this womping, the Texans general manager set out to fix these problems. The team signed former San Francisco 49ers and Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Christian DiLaurio to a contract. Maybe he’ll be depth after the Texans decide to finally release Matt Kalil. Who knows? No one really does, aside from maybe Bill O’Brien.

Last night, there were rumors that the Texans had signed Jay Ajayi, since Al Michaels casually stated they did during the Sunday Night Football broadcast. The former Dolphins and Eagles running back is coming off an ACL tear of his own.

That rumor has been refuted. Ajayi hasn’t signed with the Texans or anywhere else. He hasn’t worked out. That being said, the Texans still need to find a number one running back to pair with Duke Johnson and his pass catching ability.

Something is bound to happen at the running back position. Houston can’t go into the season with Karon Higdon or Buddy Howell as their primary backup running back. Look for Houston to add someone at running back in the next few days.

You can also keep an eye out for news regarding Jadeveon Clowney. He’s supposed to return to the team this week after he was once again the headline in trade rumors over the weekend.
