Football football football. It starts in a little more than a hour, and with that comes the inactives, the players who won’t be suiting up for today. The Texans released the following:

This means Tytus Howard will play today, and should start at left guard. Keke Coutee will be rambling around the center of the field, and the Texans may finally attack this segement after being a sideline throwing team last week. This will be a mismatch against D.J. Hayden. And it also looks like Charles Omenihu will have his first chance to play with Carlos Watkins sitting down.

Jacksonville has released the following:

The Texans should have franchise tagged A.J. Bouye, but he’s sitting out today. Cam Robinson is still reeling from a knee injury. This isn’t the same knee he tore last season. Yannick Ngakoue is out, which will lead to some scrambling along the Jaguars’ defensive line. It will be interesting to see if Calais Campbell pops out to defensive end or stays along the interior. The Jaguars also don’t have their most athletic tight end Josh Oliver, and are missing one of their key middle of the field receivers in Marqise Lee.

The Jaguars were dismantled by injuries last season, and are dealing with it once again this season.

We will back in a hour for kickoff.
