The Texans made a couple of moves this week as they prepare for this Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers. They sent one offensive lineman to Injured Reserve, promoted one linebacker to the active roster from the practice squad, cut a wideout from the practice squad, and signed two new players to the practice squad.
The Houston #Texans signed ILB Tyrell Adams to the active roster from the practice squad and placed G Senio Kelemete on the Reserve/Injured list.

Senio Kelemete was the team’s starting left guard for the majority of last season, and he started at left guard last week before Tytus Howard took over, and then Max Scharping took over. Kelemete will be placed on injured reserve. He was on the injured list for a wrist injury, but it is unknown why he’ll be missing time. Bill O’Brien said there’s a possibility Kelemete returns this season:
Bill O'Brien said Senio Kelemete could be designated for return, but in terms of time it would take and needing the roster spot, it precluded carrying him on active roster

The Texans also promoted inside linebacker Tyrell Adams to the active roster. The Texans then added wide receiver Chad Hansen and former preseason offensive lineman Christian DiLauro to their practice squad. To make room for two players with only one open spot, Houston also cut preseason fan favorite, undrafted wide receiver Tyron Johnson.
