Another year, another draft in the books. The list of players taken by the Houston Texans in 2020 is as follows:
Round 2- Pick 40- Ross Blacklock, Defensive Tackle, TCU
Round 3- Pick 90- Jonathan Greenard, Linebacker, Florida
Round 4- Pick 126- Charlie Heck, Offensive Tackle, North Carolina
Round 4- Pick 141- John Reid, Defensive Back, Penn State
Round 5- Pick 171- Isaiah Coulter, Wide Receiver, Rhode Island
Blacklock will be a day one starter. Greenard will hopefully be an adrenaline shot to our comatose pass rush. Charlie Heck will try to usurp Roderick Johnson’s role as our swing tackle. John Reid will assist in the secondary and on special teams. Isaiah Coulter will try to carve out a spot for himself on a crowded depth chart.
What’s your initial reaction to the Texans’ 2020 draft class? Which pick(s) did you like? Which ones excited you less? Which players that the Texans had a chance to draft do you most regret them passing on?
