It’s the most wonderful time of year. The sky nestles into orange at 5:15 p.m., turns mauve at 5:30 p.m., and is enveloped in a violent violet maelstrom that becomes night at 5:45, distorted by man and all his lights. Your skin becomes white and pasty, lacking taste, devoid of salt and sweat. Gifts get hidden in empty cereal boxes on your top shelf. Exercise becomes something for next year. Things are going to change. I can FEEL it.
