The centerpiece of the Texans’ offseason was Bill O’Brien’s decision to trade DeAndre Hopkins for David Johnson, a second round pick, and a fourth round pick swap. Other important decisions were also made to the detriment of the franchise. Signing Randall Cobb to replace Keke Coutee. Adding only Eric Murray and Jaylen Watkins to the 26th ranked pass defense in the NFL. Re-signing the players who suited up for Houston last year to maintain a “tough”, “smart”, “dependable” culture. Other things that reside in the same stupid universe as the Hopkins trade.

On today’s show, Matt Weston and BFD review the entirety of the Texans’ offseason by breaking out the fat red markers and grading the moves the team has made. Topics include the decision to retain one’s own, the Cobb and Murray signings, our favorite move of the offseason, the path for Houston’s pass defense to improve, and of course, your questions, loyal listeners.
