It’s an understatement to say that no one expected 2020 to look like it has. From the worldwide pandemic to the Texans ridding themselves of a franchise player who should have retired in H-Town, this year has been one for the ages.

With nothing better to do, since ‘social distancing’ remains a trending thing, let’s take the overall temperature of the BRB faithful as far as the team is concerned.

Since the 2019 season has ended, the Texans have made the following notable additions to the roster:

Brandin Cooks

Brent Qvale

Eric Murray

Randall Cobb

David Johnson

Timmy Jernigan

They’ve re-signed the following players:

Darren Fells

Ka’imi Fairbairn

DeAndre Carter

Bradley Roby

AJ McCarron

Roderick Johnson

Jon Weeks

Dylan Cole

They’ve lost the following players:

DeAndre Hopkins (Arizona Cardinals)

Carlos Hyde (UFA)

D.J. Reader (Cincinnati Bengals)

Lamar Miller (UFA)

Johnathan Joseph (UFA)

The folks at CBS Sports have given Houston a D-. Bleacher Report gave them an F; BR also gives Houston 2 of the top 5 worst moves this off-season and a bonus pair in their (dis)honorable mention section.

ESPN gives them a D+ for Cooks and an F- for HopkinsPro Football Focus simply grades it “poor.” The Sporting News gave them a C or Cooks and a D for David Johnson,

What about you? Without taking the upcoming draft into account, should the offseason end right now, how would you grade the Texans’ 2020 roster upgrade efforts so far?
