For those of you who were holding out hope that something out there could go wrong to nix the trade with the Arizona Cardinals, I have some bad news for you. DeAndre Hopkins passed his physical. David Johnson passed his physical. The NFL can now officially process the trade that sent Hopkins to Arizona for Johnson and the 40th overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft. There’s nothing left to stop the train.
New Texans running back David Johnson has taken and passed his physical, according to a league source. DeAndre Hopkins had already passed his physical, so trade can be officially processed now.

There were rumors and concerns online that it wouldn’t happen before the draft, which would prevent Houston from getting the 40th overall selection next week. Those concerns have evaporated. Now it’s just up to the NFL to process the trade, and then it will be official, Hopkins will be in Arizona, and Johnson will be in Houston, wearing #31.
