Last week, this very serious football operation published an article on the Texans’ all-time offense. Today is a diametric opposite. Sit down, take out your pen and paper, and chose eleven (11) athletes who would form the best possible defense for your Houston Texans.

If you want, you can use my nickel defense as a template to build your own in the comments below, though you can certainly run a different scheme to maximize your talent if you prefer.

Defensive End: J.J. Watt

Defensive Tackle: D.J. Reader

Defensive Tackle: Antonio Smith

Defensive End: Jadeveon Clowney

Linebacker: Brian Cushing

Linebacker: Benardrick McKinney

Cornerback: Johnathan Joseph

Cornerback: A.J. Bouye

Nickle Cornerback: Bradley Roby

Strong Safety: Kareem Jackson

Free Safety: Andre Hal

Defensive Coordinator: Wade Phillips

With that, the space is yours. Leave your suggestion of the composition of franchise’s top defense in the Comments.
