Your Houston Texans signed defensive tackle P.J. Hall earlier today.

Hall is a former Las Vegas Raiders second round pick from the 2018 NFL Draft. In two seasons, he managed to accumulate 18 starts, 48 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and 8 tackles for a loss.

P.J. was traded to the Minnesota Vikings earlier this offseason, but failed his physical and the trade was rescinded. As a result, Hall went back to Las Vegas and was dropped from the team like a hot potato. Currently, it’s not known if he has already passed his physical for the Texans.

If this signing sticks, this could be a really nice depth pickup for the squad. With the strange offseason that the Texans are currently navigating, Ross Blacklock might not be ready to bring out of the oven by the time the season starts. Adding a veteran presence who played a decent amount of snaps for the Raiders could really help us out in case Blacklock isn’t ready to go. Regardless, keeping a rotation is key with defensive tackles, so Hall could make a solid DT2. Plus, with Eddie Vanderdoes deciding to opt out, the position was already a little shorthanded.

What do you think about our newest Texan? Will you believe it when you see the physical?
