The Houston Texans are kicking off the week with a bang. Not really, but there have been some adjustments to the practice squad! The team signed Alex McGough and a duo of tight ends in Pharaoh Brown and Troy Fumagalli. Unfortunately, the team released G Cordel Iwaugwa.

The most notable bit of news here is the return of McGough. After being on the Texans’ training camp squad, it was expected that the team would bring him back as a third QB. It took a little longer than expected, but here we are.
Keeping three quarterbacks around might be a good idea in the time of COVID-19. There are some who have proposed the idea that if an infection were to break out, a bubble quarterback would be the safest way for a team to carry on. Regardless, quarterback depth should be less of a problem now than it was yesterday.
