The Houston Texans have been adamant that they will hire a general manager before they hire a head coach, and now they’ve added another candidate to their GM interview list. Houston has already interviewed Louis Riddick and Matt Bazirgan to be their new GM. Now they’ll meet with Buffalo Bills Director of Pro Player Personnel Malik Boyd about the vacancy at NRG Park.

Boyd played defensive back in the mid 1990s. After his playing career was over, he caught on with the Colts and Bill Polian as a scouting assistant and worked his way up from there. Before heading to Buffalo, Boyd was the Assistant Director of Pro Scouting in Arizona. Bills General Manager Brandon Beane selected Boyd for his current role in Buffalo.
The Bills are currently 11-3, have transformed Josh Allen into one of the five best quarterbacks in the league, and are looking to expand upon last year’s postseason berth. All in all, Boyd looks like a great candidate for the GM role in Houston.
