We are three days away from Crazy Town. The NFL’s free agency tampering period begins on Monday. We say “beaucoup” beucoup times as dollars are scattered across the country to pay for the services of football playing men. In the immediate future, teams will continue to snip, sniff, and lick to create cap space. They’ll call and call and call to try to churn veterans into picks, doing everything they can to build the next great version of their current team or to try and keep the window open for the team they already have.
Some teams are stupid. Other teams are bland. A few are already settled. But there are is a wild assortment of franchises with the cap space that will dictate the course of this offseason for the rest of the league.
On this episode of Battle Red Radio, Matt Weston and his good friend Taylor preview the 2021 NFL offseason by discussing the most interesting teams of the offseason. Topics include how deep Taylor’s V is (spoiler: it’s really deep), the Mark Ingram-David Johnson running back tandem in Houston, the challenges the Chargers face in building around Justin Herbert, Dak Prescott’s shiny new contract, New York’s natural resources, Tompa Tom’s bargain bin, the struggles the Kansas City Chiefs face, and, of course, your beautiful and perfect listener questions.
Let’s start the show.
