2021 NFL Free Agency News: Houston Texans Sign OL Cole Toner To A One-Year Deal

More depth for a reshaped offensive line.

NFL: Los Angeles Chargers at San Francisco 49ers Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

Aaron Wilson reported that the Houston Texans have signed offensive lineman Cole Toner to a one-year deal.

Having originally been drafted by Arizona, Toner has most recently played in Los Angeles for the Chargers. Coincidentally, he also played under new OL coach James Campen while in LA, so there is some familiarity there.

Toner played 295 snaps last season and was good for a Pro Fartball Focus grade of 62, whatever that means.

With the rapidly changing look of this offensive line and the depth behind it, Toner has a chance to make the roster as a backup.
