Zach Fulton was supposed to be the answer to Brandon Brooks leaving after Jeff Allen wasn’t the answer to Brandon Brooks leaving . Fulton, another Kansas City interior offensive lineman, failed in Houston like Allen before him. The Texans released Fulton this offseason rather than let him battle it out on the interior with Justin Britt, Marcus Cannon, or Max Scharping for a starting role. Immediately, Fulton was scooped up by the New York Giants, who recently lost Kevin Zeitler this offseason.

If you are one of those nerds who studies or researches football instead of simply enjoying it however it is you want to enjoy it, you may call Fulton in New York an interesting case study. It will be interesting to see how he performs away from Houston, a city that has seen every offensive lineman come to its shores perform worse (except for Laremy Tunsil) and every offensive lineman who has left perform better. Fulton will get the chance to compete for a starting spot in New York. How he performs without Mike Devlin’s coaching him will be an interesting thing that only truly sick Texans fans care about.
