Click, click, click, click. Listen to the football-starved locusts chomp down and swallow every NFL mock draft that is published across the internet. These mock drafts used to be limited to the first round. They expanded to the second round, and now, look what we have here...a three round mock draft.

This is good news for the Houston Texans. A glowing light for Texans fans who need something to read while rooting for a team that is without a first or second round pick—thanks, Laremy Tunsil—and here it is. A three round mock draft that includes the lowly Houston Texans.

Seth Galina with Pro Football Focus published an AFC South mock draft, and in it, he has the Houston Texans selecting...

HOUSTON TEXANS

Pick 67: CB BENJAMIN ST-JUSTE, MINNESOTA

I’m not going to lie to you, people. At pick 67, with their first pick in the draft, the Texans could take absolutely anyone at any position. The only thing that matters for them right now should be finding someone who can play anywhere on the field because they are below average at almost every position group.

I went with St. Juste because I like his length and his press-man ability. If there is a prototype for what cornerbacks are going to look like in the NFL going forward, it’s someone who is 6-foot-3, 205 pounds, as St-Juste is. If the technique ever comes around at an elite level, the Texans will have themselves a starting cornerback for years to come.

As Galina correctly wrote, the Texans are bad at just about every position. Selecting the best player available is all that matters. A linebacker, sure. Another running back, let’s do it. A cornerback, even better.

What are your thoughts on St. Juste? Is he one of your mid-round sleepers?
