We Want YOU To Write About The Houston Texans!

We NEED YOU to write about the Houston Texans.

Summer is here, the dead zone of the NFL season, and you are probably finding yourself, lost and aimless, scrolling and searching for something to read, anything to read. Well, now is your chance to add to it. Be the content you want to want to see in the world. Because Battle Red Blog wants YOU to write about the Houston Texans.

Mainly we are looking for someone who can write one great thing a week. It can be whatever you want to write about. There are no assignments around here. In addition to the one great post per week, we’d like anyone interested to also commit to publishing two to three news posts a week as the season progresses—these can be open threads, news articles, or nearly anything. There’s also the opportunities to join, or be a mainstay on, Battle Red Radio. You could even start your own podcast if you want.

Maybe this can be a stepping stone to something greater. Maybe you can write for Football Outsiders one day like Rivers McCown, or become a YouTube star like Brett Kollmann. If you are someone who wants to write, podcast, or make videos, SB Nation is a great platform to get started. If these dreams don’t come true or if you don’t have grander ideas, but you want something to accentuate your life and your free time, Battle Red Blog can offer that as well. If nothing else, you’ll make friends online with people who also love the Texans, and it will expand your enjoyment of your favorite football team.

If you are interested, please send an email to battleredblog AT gmail DOT com with one or two writing samples by next Friday, July 2nd. If you are interested and have never written anything before, get to writing about something Texans related. Who knows what you have upstairs?

Thanks in advance to everyone who writes in. We’re looking forward to making our coverage even better for this upcoming season. If you have any additional questions, don’t hesitate to ask in the comments below or get in touch with me or TIM. We’re not that hard to find.
