Kansas City Chiefs vs Houston Texans Set Number: X162051 TK1

There’s no end to this timeline. This past January, Deshaun Watson shocked the NFL and the Houston Texans by requesting a trade after Nick Caserio was hired. David Culley’s hiring did nothing to change Watson’s mind about his future in Houston. An ominous late night tweet detonated a barrage of sexual assault allegations with the official count piling up to 22. Houston didn’t trade Watson, so Watson showed up to training camp, but was missing yesterday once the pads were put on.

Trade rumors. Civil suits. The NFL’s investigation to nowhere. A possible future trade. That’s what we eventually have to look forward to.

To help us make sense of this mess, The Defector’s investigative editor, Diana Moskovitz, joined Battle Red Radio. Topics include how the news rolls out for allegations like this, the similarity between the allegations, how long this can go on for, what you don’t know, and the NFL’s investigative process.

Let’s start the show.
