Last year was too perfect. It was a real Disney fairy tale. The Bucs won eight straight games in a row, beating Washington, New Orleans, and Green Bay on the road, before taking down the Chiefs, finally, at home, in the Super Bowl. Tom Brady proved that he will forever be the greatest quarterback of all time, with a head-to-head win over his young challenger in Patrick Mahomes. It’s almost as if the whole thing was rigge rather than it being another example of the universe, perfect and exact, folding things into a perfect shape.
On this episode of Battle Red Radio, Matt Weston and his good friend Taylor preview the NFC South. Topics include Kyle Pitts’ guest appearance on iCarly, how quick Atlanta’s rebuild may go under the tutelage of Arthur Smith and Dean Pees, a bad offensive line blocking for Sam Darnold once again, Sam Darnold to Dan Arnold, Carolina’s young, stacked and busty defense, Tameis taking over for Drew, how well New Orleans will deal with their offseason losses, Tompa Bay running it back with the exact same team minus Joe Haeg, and Brady being even better this year than last year.
Let’s start the show.
