Just because the season hasn’t started doesn’t mean players aren’t already injured. Lonnie Johnson Jr. has been inactive this entire week with a thigh issue. He’s been proposed to be one of the breakout players on this roster, but early injuries may stymie his path to stardom.
Along with Johnson, we know Deshaun Watson will be on the roster but not on the game day list due to his ongoing allegations and trade request. This will be a continued practice until he’s traded or the situation is resolved.
Other players to note on the inactive list is rookie tight end Brevin Jordan. This means recently promoted Anthony Auclair will get the go today. Jonathan Greenard will be missing from the defensive line, which is not a fantastic way to start his second season. Anthony Miller’s shoulder injury in preseason doesn’t look to be fully healthy and he’ll sit today too.
